Vodka is a great disinfectant! Think about the amount of bacteria / germs that are in your bed + time in between washing / changing out your bedding, it’s great for taking care of that issue in between washes. I think it’s also great to spray your mattress with vodka. Vodka also helps neutralize any stinky or stale odors so that you’re not just masking it with the essential oil.

Is it important? I make linen spray with just distilled water and lavender essential oil in a cobalt blue glass mister. Anything with essential oils should be kept in either amber glass or cobalt blue glass containers, never clear or plastic or metal.
