I know I’m replying years after original comment but maybe will help someone reading it now and also I am unsure as to whether it could take the finish off you would just have to test a small area first to see but I have good luck cleaning with dryer sheets with hard to scrub strains. It really cuts some time when scrubbing grime or struck on stains. Just wet and let sit for a few to several mins depending on the stain or mess and you may be surprised the things it will easily and quickly lift without hardly scrubbing as you would with most other cleaners
