Ack!  The household pet did it again.  Pet stains should be blotted up with paper towel and treated immediately, or else it’ll leave that odour behind.  This mixture not only helps with the odour, it helps with the staining. Mix the following together and treat that stain stat!

  • 1/4 cup table salt
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 1/4 cup borax powder

Create a well-combined paste and apply this to the stained area.  Allow the area to dry, and vacuum the salt and borax up 24 hours later.  This will help to deodorize, remove any bacteria and remove staining.  Once the area has been vacuumed up, rinse with water and blot well with a clean, dry cloth

    • You can certainly give it a try. I would try rewetting the stain, but it may be too set in too come out. You can try an enzyme cleaner, too.

  1. I love your tips and DIYs, but do you know any alternative for borax? I live in Europe and can’t find it Borax. Thanks!

    • You can usually find Borax in grocery stores (major or small towns) in the dish soap area or laundry soap…usually on the bottom shelf..for some reason! Love it!!
